GRIP, Women’s sector and Positive Women’s Network participated in a policy in Action community dialogue at KaNyamazane on the 24th March 2021, to seek justice and redress the Violence Against women and children in South Africa. All the Organizations brought their banners and promotion materials to brand the event. GRIP distributes sanitary towels to all the women and adolescent young women who attended the event. The event was a success and we had 62 people in attendance.
The event was in response of a rape case that was reporting at GRIP by a young women who was raped by a so called pastor. We are urging our communities to report such cases to GRIP within 72 hours so that people can access the Post Exposure Prophylaxis which is very important to take after being exposed to rape or sexual assault.
